PHASE 3 GUIDELINES
In consideration of our families, our staff and volunteers, our neighbors, and our community, Poplar Grove is taking steps to minimize the spread of COVID-19, and instead spreading the word to follow best practices outlined by local, state and federal agencies during Phase 3.
House Tours are on a limited schedule each Wednesday and Saturday in October. Special pricing will apply. All adult tickets are $10 (plus tax), youth 6-17 years of age are $6 (plus tax), and children 5 and under are free. Tickets can be purchased online.
We will make every effort to have guided tours at 10:00 and 11:00, however, we cannot guarantee a docent and appreciate your understanding if we need to change those tours to self-guided. The 12:00 and 12:30 tours will be self-guided. Face coverings are required for guests 6 years of age and up. Social distancing is required between groups/families. Hand sanitizer will be provided on each floor of the museum. Grounds close promptly at 1 p.m., please allow time to complete the grounds tour prior to closing. On Saturday, October 31, there will be no 12:00 or 12:30 tour.
The Farmers’ Market is open and free to the public on the front grounds of the Manor House from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., every Wednesday and Saturday. However, tickets are required to tour the Manor House, back grounds, heritage art studios and stables. Please visit the gift shop on the lower level of the Manor House for more further information.
The Manor House and outbuildings are under the auspices of Poplar Grove Foundation, Inc., a 501(c)3 non-profit. All funds generated through Manor House tours, school programs, Farmers’ Market vendor fees, rental facilities, and festivals provide the revenue to maintain and preserve the historic Manor House, outbuildings, heritage art exhibits, artist studios, pastures and stables.
Entrance for our property is on the South side of the Manor House, where the Farmers’ Market and Poplar Grove Entrance signs are posted. If you drive past the Manor House, you have gone too far.
Thank you for supporting our conservation, education, and preservation efforts.
NOTE: Poplar Grove schedules many activities throughout the year, including school programs, community events and festivals as well as a weekly farmers’ market. The site is also a major wedding venue, especially during the peak periods of the spring and fall. Such activities will impact a visitor’s experience, especially during the weekends of the Herb & Garden Fair, Summer Harvest Festival, Halloween Brews & Broomsticks, and A Merry Little Christmas Festival, so please check our Calendar of Events to arrange your visit around our major festivals, or choose to join us in the fun!
The 2020 Farmers’ Market season begins Wednesday, May 20th. The stables, grounds and exhibits as well as the Manor House requires regular admission prices for touring and/or exploring. Please consider a Membership to have full and regular access to the grounds and exhibits.
