Tour Schedule & Prices

CLOSED DUE TO HURRICANE FLORENCE. Update: As of Wednesday, September 19, 2018, we are closed until further notice. Next update: Friday, September 19, 2018.

Staff and volunteers are still addressing damage to personal property and assisting their own families while power, food and fuel sources are in short supply.

Large trees are down from the hurricane as well as a tornado that went through the area. We are in que for professional tree services; however, trees on homes and businesses are top priority, while the fuel shortage has impacted the operation of larger equipment.

Fortunately, power has been restored, and limited staff have been able to survey damage and begin light clean-up. All buildings are intact. Thank you for your patience and good wishes.

Welcome to Poplar Grove!

Currently, Poplar Grove is under mid-season hours of operation. Please scroll below for hours of operation for mid-season daily tour times.

The Manor House and outbuildings are under the auspices of Poplar Grove Foundation, Inc., a 501(c)3 non-profit. All funds generated through Manor House and Stable tours, memberships, school programs, Farmers’ Market vendor fees, rental facilities, and festivals provide the revenue to maintain and preserve the historic Manor House, outbuildings, heritage art exhibits, artist studios, pastures and stables.

Entrance for our property is on the South side of the Manor House, where the Farmers’ Market and Poplar Grove Plantation signs are posted.  If you drive past the Manor House, you have gone too far.

Thank you for supporting our conservation, education, and preservation efforts!

HOURS OF OPERATION

We make every effort to provide guided tours of the Manor House; however, there are occasions when staffing or volunteer hours are limited and self-guided tours are the only option to view the house.

Due to Hurricane Florence, we are closing Tuesday, September 11 until further notice.

During the Farmers’ Market hours of operation, the property and outbuildings are open and free to the public to explore on Wednesdays from 8am – 1pm. The 2018 season Farmers’ Market season begins on Wednesday, April 18. PLEASE NOTE: The Manor House and Stables require regular admission prices for touring.
