Events & Festivals

Events and Festivals serve as fund-raisers to help the foundation support its mission of education, conservation, and preservation, and there is always something happening at Poplar Grove throughout the year.

To celebrate 40 years as a museum complex, we start the year by celebrating Mardis Gras 2020, so report to the porches on February 22 from 8 – Midnight.

In the spring, the annual Herb & Garden Fairone of the longest-running plant & garden sales in the area,  followed by the Food Truck Round UP on July 25 from 4-8 PM. On the first Saturday in September, the rescheduled Kentucky Derby Party from 4-8 PM

We celebrate the end of the summer solstice during the 4th Annual Summer Harvest Festival on September 19 & 20th.

On full moon and half moon nights as well as Fridays & Saturdays in October, Paranormal Ghost Tours give you the opportunity to search for spirits in the Manor House and out on the grounds.

And well, who doesn’t love a little spooktacular fun at the Brews & Broomsticks Bash, so bring the entire family out for a few tricks and lots of treats.

Our A Merry Little Christmas Festival will give you an opportunity to spend time with your family without waiting in long lines, but rather strolling our grounds, visiting local heritage craftpersons, meeting neighbors and friends, and glimpsing out into the night sky for a sign of Santa’s sleigh… as well as Candle Light Tours through the Manor House.
