COVID-19 Safety Protocols

POPLAR GROVE WILL TAKE NECESSARY STEPS TO CREATE A SAFE AND EFFICIENT SHOPPING EXPERIENCE. PLEASE REFERENCE NC PHASE 3 GUIDELINES.

HOWEVER, TO HELP MINIMIZE THE SPREAD OF COVID-19, THE FARMERS’ MARKET WILL BE A WALK-THROUGH MARKET ONLY DURING PHASE 3.

THE FOLLOWING SAFETY PROTOCOLS INCLUDE:

1) SEPARATE ONE WAY ENTRANCE AND ONE WAY EXIT GATES WILL BE CLEARLY MARKED. 

2) VENDOR BOOTHS WILL BE SPACED APPROXIMATELY 8 FT. APART.

3) POPLAR GROVE WILL PROVIDE HAND-SANITIZING STATIONS THROUGHOUT THE MARKET AREA.

4) CUSTOMERS ARE ENCOURAGED TO BRING THEIR OWN HAND SANITIZER.

5) VENDORS AND POPLAR GROVE STAFF ARE REQUIRED TO WEAR FACE MASKS DURING MARKET HOURS OF OPERATION.

6) CUSTOMERS ARE ENCOURAGED TO WEAR FACE MASKS WHEN OUTDOORS AND SOCIAL DISTANCING IS DIFFICULT.

7) VENDORS ARE REQUIRED TO USE HAND-SANITIZER BEFORE/AFTER EACH TRANSACTION.

8) GUESTS ARE ASKED TO PRACTICE SOCIAL DISTANCING MEASURES OF AT LEAST SIX FEET BETWEEN INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILY GROUPS.

9) CHILDREN MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY AN ADULT AND REMAIN WITH FAMILY GROUPS.

10) ALL PRODUCT SAMPLING IS PROHIBITED.

11) ALL VENDORS SELLING FOOD ITEMS MUST HAVE FOOD IN INDIVIDUALLY SEALED CONTAINERS.

12) CUSTOMERS ARE ASKED NOT TO TOUCH OR EXAMINE ITEMS FOR SALE, BUT RATHER TO POINT OUT OR COMMUNICATE THEIR SELECTIONS.

13) CUSTOMERS ARE ENCOURAGED TO CHECK WITH THEIR FAVORITE VENDOR VIA SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORMS ABOUT PRE-ORDERING AND/OR ONLINE PURCHASING FOR PICK-UP OR DELIVERY.

14) IN THE EVENT THAT POPLAR GROVE STAFF NEEDS TO LIMIT THE NUMBER OF GUESTS ENTERING THE MARKET, CUSTOMERS WILL BE ASKED TO FORM A LINE OUTSIDE THE ENTRY GATE AND WAIT 6′ FEET APART UNTIL GRANTED ENTRY BY A POPLAR GROVE STAFF MEMBER.

15) TO ALL VENDORS, POPLAR GROVE STAFF, AND GUESTS, IF YOU ARE SICK, OR SUSPECT YOU ARE SICK, OR BEEN EXPOSED TO SOMEONE WITH COVID-19, PLEASE STAY HOME.

16) THE MARKET MANAGER HAS CLEARLY COMMUNICATED THESE PROTOCOLS TO ALL VENDORS PRIOR TO OPENING DAY.

17) CLEARLY MARKED SIGNAGE AT THE MARKET WILL ALERT CUSTOMERS TO THE ABOVE PROTOCOLS.

PLEASE NOTE: WHILE THE FRONT GROUNDS ARE OPEN AND FREE TO THE PUBLIC DURING THE FARMERS’ MARKET, THE MANOR HOUSE, BACK GROUNDS, HERITAGE ART STUDIOS AND STABLES REQUIRE TICKETS TO VISIT.
